FENTY BEAUTY BY RIHANNA

There has been alot of hype amongst the blogging community on the Fenty beauty range. I have been quite late on the bandwagon but I managed to get my hands on a few of their products to test out. The pricing of the products are quite reasonable in my opinion compared with some of the other well known brands in stores. The packaging is beautiful and definitley something I would love on my vanity. These are my first impressions on these few products

Product fail: L'oreal infallable Total Cover foundation

After seeing so many reviews and instagram videos on this foundation, I decided to pick this up and give it a go. I am a huge fan of the Estee Lauder Double wear and have been through a couple of bottles of it so the potential for a cheaper alternative was just too good to ignore. For starters, I admit that I do not need such a high coverage foundation, but I do look for the longevity of a foundation as I work long hours without having the opportunity to touch up.

I like how the tube is so sleek in packaging and perfect for travelling with. This has a mousse texture and dries down very quickly so you need to blend instantly after applying. I have tried using my fingers, beauty blender and a foundation brush and I feel that the best way of applying this is with a damp beauty blender. I feel that this clings onto my dry patches unfortunately but although the overall coverage is amazing and the finish is matte, it really does seems pretty lightweight on the face. I did not use any setting powder on top the first time I used it as it didn't seem like I needed to due to the matte finish, but I was so wrong after a few hours and it started to break down on my face and I was horrified as it was so difficult to retouch after a few hours.

So I decided to try next day with a setting powder and setting spray. I found that throughout my 13 hour shift, I was checking up on my face but I wasn't pleased with what I saw. The makeup was cakey and started to patch on certain areas of my face. When I tried to re-apply powder on top to get rid of the shine and even it out, it just made it look far worse. I had high hopes of this foundation and I really adored the initial flawless finish that it gave, but maybe it wasn't suitable for my skintype. I have now gravitated back to my double wear for the time being until I can find a better alternative.

What is your holy grail foundation?

MY HIGH-END BEAUTY WISHLIST

Start of a new year means start of a new wishlist for me. This year I would love to mainly focus on skincare and trying to take better care of my skin so I would need to use less makeup. Here are a selection of what I am currently eyeing up to buy hopefully sometime soon which most people in the blogging world has heard about.

1. Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look In A Palette
When this first came out I already knew I wanted it so badly but with mixed reviews about the pigmentation of this I was kind of drawn back by it. However, I still feel that this palette is wonderful and would allow me to achieve the natural look I usually would go for. The compact packaging means that I can get everything in one palette including a bronzer and highlighter which is pretty handy in my opinion. Totally worth the price and I love all Charlotte Tilbury products so far.

2. Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow
Yet another Charlotte Tilbury product that I havebeen recommended by many people. This duo is probably what Charlotte Tilbury is most famous for and I am intrigued by it. There are many Highlight and Bronzing duos out there that I can get a bit overwhelmed by and this has definitley been in my radar since day one. I would love to finish some of my bronzers in my stash first before getting this beauty.

3. Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow
The cold winter months has made my skin so lifeless and dull. All I think about is how to achieve that dewy glow back to the skin. I have read numerous reviews on this and have seen videos where models look absolutely amazing when this product is used as a primer either on its own or underneath foundation. I think this would look amazing for the Spring/Summer time when the healthy dewy skin look is the way to go.

4. Sunday Riley Luna Night Oil
Its been a while since I have used a night oil in my beauty regime and I have been kind of missing it. I currently use the Clarins double serum but its close to finishing therefore I would love to give a facial oil a try again. I guess with my really dehydrated skin these days I would benefit from this facial oil. Although this is quite expensive, I feel that given the great reviews I have read it would be totally worth it when I see and feel the results for myself.

5. Becca Champagne Pop Highlighter
After my obsession with my Becca highlighter in Opal, I've decided that I would love to add Champagne pop into my collection after reading numerous reviews about it. I love a bit of highlight and the formulation of Becca highlighter are so easy to work with. The price you pay is really worth it for what you get.

6. Make Up Forever HD stick Foundation
Although my new years resolution is to try and use less makeup and really focus on my skincare, this MUFE foundation stick has been keeping me interested in how easy it is to apply and I do not have a nice stick foundation which I can take with me on the go. I did try the NYX stick foundation hoping that it would be good but I was so wrong because it was rubbish. I am on the look out for a good quality stick foundation that I can rely on when I am travelling and this one seems to be the best out of the reviews I have read.

Let me know what products are on your wishlist

MY TOP BEAUTY DISCOVERIES IN 2016

With 2016 over, I thought I would do a round up of all the products that I have been delighted to have discovered and have used constantly in the past year. These are the most reached for beauty products for the whole year and I'm sure it would continue this year before I discover newer and better products.

1. Hourglass The Edit Palette
This is by far the most beautifl palette I own in my makeup collection. These powders are such high quality and pigmented. Hourglass is an expensive brand and it was never a brand that I considered purchasing from until I saw this particular palette which i was difficult to resist indeed. The half highlighters and half blushers caught my attention and the packaging is gorgeous. The powder is pigmented yet finely milled making application a dream and achieving a flawless finish.

2. Caudalie Beauty Elixer
This is such a cult product in the beauty world so the curiosity made me purchase this and now I am on my 3rd bottle. This spray has a nice refreshing citrus yet herbal scent which instantly awakens the senses and refreshes dull makeup. I like using this just before makeup application and also throughout the day for a quick pick me up especially after the gym. Always have a travel sized in my handbag as its so handy to use whenever and wherever.

3. L'oreal Infallible Setting Mist
If you guys following my blog, you would have read about the only 2 makeup setting sprays I use right now and this is one of them. This product works wonders for me and I am so glad that I discovered it to the point that I have stopped using my Urban decay allnighter setting spray. I work long hours as a nurse and at the end of my 13 hour shift, my makeup still looks great and my makeup still in place. I have recommended this to my nurse friend who also raves about this product. Such a good product for an affordable price.

4. Chanel Chance Perfume
I am a huge fan of Chanel perfumes and I already own the Eau fraiche version of this which is the green bottle. I did not intend on purchasing anymore fragrance for a while as my collection is a bit over saturated now but this one I just couldn't walk away from. This has a lovely delicate floral scent that is very long lasting. This feminine yet non overpowering scent is great to wear during the day time and I've had many compliments when I wear this perfume.

5. Lancome energie de vie moisturiser
I  referred to this moisturiser as my holy grail moisturiser summer time last year and I totally still stand by it. You can have a read of my review here if you have missed it. This is really lightweight yet provides just enough moisture to my complexion without leaving it feeling greasy. I like using this in the morning. With its refreshing scent and light texture, it not only wakes me up ready for the day but it makes a lovely base for my makeup application. Definitley recommend this moisturiser and I am eager to try the rest from the range.

6. Kiko nail polish
I've always been obsessed with nail polishes especially the inexpensive ones that gives better results than the big branded ones. I used to love the BarryM nail paints but they are forgotten now ever since I've discovered Kiko nail polishes. Their shade range is impressive and I adore their formulation and wear. This shade 338 has been my favourite for quite a while in the 2016 and I have repurchased this shade already.

7. Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation
I can't believe I didn't try out this foundation sooner. This is definitley the most full coverage/long lasting foundation I have ever tried. Although this has a tendancy to look quite heavy and cakey, I find that a dewy makeup mist just solves that problem. This foundation gives me the most compliments from my patients saying how perfect my skin looked. A must have if you are looking for a flawless coverage stay all day foundation.

8. NYX soft matte lip cream
At first I lusted over these as they were not available in the UK but when they finally came here after a long wait, I managed to pick up some shades. These are affordable and I absolutely love the formulation of them. They are a soft cream formula which literally just melts into the lips and stays put. My favourite shades so far are London and Rome but I will sooon purchase some more.

9. Becca Highlighter Opal
I got this highlighter as one of the products in my cultbeauty box (read what other products I got too here) I was delighted when I opened it and saw the colour. This is a warm toned highligher that has finely milled particles which gives a sunkissed highlight look. The formula is buttery and soft and I personally like to use a fan brush to apply to the high points of my face. Looking into purchasing the Champagne pop shade soon.

10. Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Concealer
For all the late night shifts I do in my job and sleepless nights, I find that this product has definitley saved the day. This radiance boosting concealer I use under my eyes to brighten up any darkness around the area. The light texture means blending is effortless and gentle on the eyes. Usually my foundation is sufficient in covering my dark circles but I find that this product helps reflect the light underneath to reduce the appearance of the eyebags. A quick pen for a fast touchup to look much more awake

11. Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette
Last but not least, my favourite eyeshadow palette that I have purchased last year. This beauty I knew I had to add to my collection. I am a big fan of warm toned colours and this is just what the palette offers me. The shades included are so pretty and I love the orange/burgandy shades that works great as transition colours and warms up any eye look. (Read the full review here)

MY TOP FOUNDATIONS FOR DRY SKIN

As I struggle trying the find the right balance of moisture and oil control in a foundation for my skin, Winter takes place and turns my skin dry and dehydrated so a moisturising foundation is definitley the way forward. These are a selection of my favourite foundations I reach for when my skin needs a bit more moisture.

L'oreal true match foundation
I was impressed by the wide range of shades this foundation was available in. This is very similar to the Giorgio armarni foundation in both texture and coverage but without the price tag. This foundation blends like a dream and gives the skin a silky finish. Comfortable to wear all day and doesn't oxidise on my skin. The foundation covers my pores well although it can sometimes prone to sit onto the dry patches. I highly recommene this foundation for everyday wear as it has a natural buildable coverage and looks beautiful on the skin.

Bourjois Happy Light foundation
Described to give a 'luminous and flawless complexion in any light'. This promises the dewy you desire which is important for the cold winter months where skin is prone to be dull and grey. This gives a healthy natural glow to the complexion but do be aware that shine does break through after a few hours if not set with a powder or spray. I adore the finish of this and I feel that it is just a little less coverage than the healthy mix serum foundation which is one of my most loved foundations. I find that this foundation has a tendency to oxidise so be aware when you purchase your shade.

Lancome teint miracle
Lancome has always been a brand that never fails to impress me. Although I love matte finish foundations due to my oily skin and forever looking shiny, I enjoyed using this foundation as it gave me a hint of dewyness without looking greasy. This foundation blends beautifully and the medium coverage is perfect for days when my skin is in good condition. This lightweight formulation allows my skin to breathe throughout the day and it wears into the day very well without the tendency to oxidise.

Giorgio armarni luminous silk
This foundation is much loved amongst the beauty blogger world. The biggest selling point about this foundation is that it doesn't contain any SPF which makes it the foundation of choice for nights out where flash photography is involved. This smooth foundation again is very easy to blend and I find that it is a very similar formulation to the loreal true match foundation. This is a lighter weight foundation and I love using this for the summer months where this isnt too heavy on the skin and hardly needs any setting powder.

ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS: MODERN RENAISSANCE PALETTE

I am absolutely in love with this beautiful palette and I did not hesitate to order from Cultbeauty.com. Usually I am more of a neutral taupey eyeshadow kind of girl but I felt that I really wanted to try out warmer/pink tones which is what this palette offers. The 'Venetian red' and 'Realgar' shade really caught my eye and I was excited to use it to create different eye makeup looks.

First of all, the packaging of this is gorgeous with a pretty dusky pink velvet which although is so pretty, I'm sure it will get a bit dirty very quickly just like how my Naked palette did. I loved the shades and I find that they blend together very easily and all the colours just compliment each other beautifully. The brush itself is good quality which I am pleased with as some other brushes that come with palettes do not offer this. The only downside to this palette is that it had alot of fallout which I am quite disappointed about but overall I am still loving this palette and I have been reaching for it most of the time in Autumn/Winter time.

Fortunately, Anastasia Beverly Hills is now available in the UK which means that it so much more easier to get hold of this palette rather than ordering from Cultbeauty or Beautybay; which I did and found that it was usually out of stock resulting me having to wait to order. This palette is just perfect for all makeup lovers who want to try out these unique shades and also would make such a pretty gift!

CULTBEAUTY: THE EDIT BOX

I found this amazing offer on Cultbeauty.com where they are offering a customisable box that includes their bestseller products and better still, you are able to pick your shades and formulation tailored to your own needs. I couldn't get this fast enough so a few clicks later, I checked out with this box of wonders and I will share with you my first impressions of these products now that I have tried them all out now.

MY NEW HOLY GRAIL MOISTURISER

It is not easy finding the perfect moisturise when it comes to my combination-oily skin so I was so excited to think that I have finally found 'The one'. This lightweight liquid texture is "infused with Goji berry extracts and lemon balm oil to leave skin healthy and hydrated". This is inspired by Korean beauty experts and I find that this particular product is different from any other moisturisers I have tried in the past.

THE ONLY SETTING SPRAYS I NEED

Beeing an avid user of makeup setting sprays over the past years, I think I can confidently say that I have found the perfect duo that I will ever need in my makeup kit. Being a combination oily skin girl can make it difficult finding the perfect finish foundation which does the oil control but compromises on the glow but these are the answers to my problems and totally changed my life. I have given up my favourite MAC fix+ and also my Urban decay allnighter after discovering these which are also a more affordable option.

Brand Focus: NYX Cosmetics

NYX was a brand which I have been lusting over for quite some time as it was difficult to get hold of in the UK. However, I am now so happy they Selfridges and larger boots store now have these in stock! I managed to pick up a handful of product to try out and so far I have been impressed by them.

MY 13 HOUR SHIFT ESSENTIALS

Working as a nurse means that it is vital for me to find products that are long lasting throughout my tedious and somewhat draining shift without having to touch up. I find that these products have worked well for me and helped me look half decent after the long shift.

Lip Liners by Kiko

I am always overwhelmed by the range of products that Kiko stores offer and I totally fall in love with their good quality products with such reasonable price tags. This store offers products that closely resemble some of those on the higher brand shelves which I love as I can get the same type of product for a fraction of the price. Recently I have fallen for the whole lip liner craze and matte lips therefore I wouldn't pass the Kiko store without making a purchase. To be very honest, I wanted all the colours and quite alot of the shades in the lip liner ranges were beautiful. However, I have to constrain myself and be good by picking out a couple of standout shades: A nude and a nice wearable pink colour.

Product Hype : Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation

10 January 2016

A Few From Charlotte Tilbury

So for Christmas I got the amazing new Charlotte Tilbury Advent calender which I was so thrilled by. With that came with some lovely miniature products for me to try out before going ahead and puchasing the full size. Overall, I have been amazed by the quality of the products I've tested and the generous sized products definitley was worth the price of the advent calender. I will be sharing my reviews on all the products over the next couple weeks too so stay tuned for that.

[ Lip Magic ]
When I first heard that Charlotte Tilbury is releasing a lipstick, I instantly got really excited as anybody who knew me would know that I am a lipbalm fiend. However, packaged within a tiny pot was a product that I thought all in all was a thumbsdown for me. Not only was it not very hydrating, but it left a fine layer of the product on my lips which didn't really do much. I also dislike the design within the pot as I always feel that its unhygeinic to dip fingers in the pot each time to apply onto my lips. For the price of this, I do not think its worth it as I think that there are other brands out there that does a better job at moisturising.

[ NOCTURNAL CAT EYE SHADOW in On the Prowl ]
This eyeshadow feels amazing and swatches so well. This colour is described as an 'antique, pearl-flecked aubergine which compliments green eyes especially. The colour is very buildable and a few layers of this gave a multidimensional look to the eyes. It delivered a nice subtle shimmer that doesn't look over the top but catches the light nicely as you can see in the pictures. I do find that it is a little bit difficult to blend out compared to other eyeshadows I have but when used with a primer, it does make it a little easier. As a single eyeshadow, it is really good and has a really finely milled texture. However, I did find that it creased on my eyelids due to my long work hours and natural prone oily eyelids. Great product by Charlotte Tilbury but I feel that there are other better eyeshadows out there for the price.

[ ROCK ‘N’ KOHL eyeliner in Supernova ]
This smokey plum shade eyeliner was beautiful in stores and when I swatched this in store I really adored the buttery texture of it and how long it lasted on the back of my hand. This mini I got from the advent calender did not dissapoint me at all as the colour was highly pigmented and the shimmer was perfect. It didn't smudge on me despite the tendency of my eyes to become watery throughout the day therefore I was more than impressed. A high quality long-lasting eyeliner which I would highly recommend and the colour range that do is great too. Only downside to this is that I am a contact lens wearer and sometimes the tiny specs of shimmer does tend to stick to my lens.

My Thoughts on Freedom Makeup

The brand Freedom makeup is not only a new brand to me, but it grabbed my interest by how striking its similarity is to other more higher end brands out there on the market that does similar products....Yes I am talking about the Anastasia beverly hills products which I have always been tempted by. Packaging wise, I feel that the quality is great and very sturdy for the price which is great for on the go.  So in this post, I will summarise my first impressions of these products.

Pro Brow pomade taupe

This definitely is a product that resembles the Anastasia dipbrow pomade which I have been wanting to try. I tend to use this product for nights out as I find that it does look a bit heavy for day time use in my opinion. Pigmentation wise, this isn't the best and I find that the colour does change throughout the day. Not sure how it compares with the Anastasia dipbrow but for the price that I picked this up for, I can't really complain.

Duo Eyebrow powder Taupe

I really enjoyed using this eyebrow powder as it gives a very natural gradient look to the eyebrows. The two toned shades allows me to have a lighter shade at the front and a deeper shade on the ends of the brows to achieve more definition. There is quite a bit of fallout from the product and once again, the pigmentation isn't that great.

Pro highlight Diffused

Out of all the products here, this is the product that I was the most impressed with. I am now gradually trying out highlighting products and I think that this is the best product that I have in my collection. The product is easy to use and it doesn't accentuate my pores making them look larger than they are. I would describe the highlight as a cool toned shimmer without making your makeup look too over the top. Can see the glow on my skin and it really does make a difference to my makeup look giving me much more radiance.

Pro cream strobe palette with brush

The most expensive product out of the lot but I have to say that it was the most dissapointing. The colour range in this palette is great and the brush that it comes with is of a satisfactory quality too. However, the product itself if not pigmented at all and I found myself layering these cream products so much. I have tried using my fingers, brushes and my beauty blender but it seems like these cream products just dissapear onto my skin.

Pro contour shaped stick medium

The shading colour is a bit too warm for contouring in my opinion but its ok to use it as a base for other products on top. This product is easy to use and handy to take around for travelling. Once again, it lacked pigmentation which can be frustrating after having to reapply. I also found that it was quite hard to blend evenly. The lid cracked easily which made it no longer secure anymore so I had to be extra careful with it in my makeup bag.

In conclusion, I think that I wouldn't make a purchase from Freedom makeup again. Although the prices are cheaper than the higher end brands, I think that the quality of the products definitley is a reflection of the pricing. The only products that I would consider myself buying more of are their wonderful highlighters which I have been loving these couple of months.

MY ONGOING REPURCHASES - HAIR

Being a girl with long hair for most of her life, haircare and hair styling has been an important aspect of day to day life. Over the years I have found a bunch of inexpensive products which works best for me and so in this post, I have chosen 5 products that is constantly a part of my routine and I keep repurchasing them continuously especially when Boots does their 3 for 2 offers which is always a perfect opportunity to restock the stash which I'm sure most of you can agree with.

Tresseme Dry Shampoo

The main reason why I love this dry shampoo as opposed to the other brands i've tried is that this comes out clear so that horrible grey cast on the hair is avoided. This particular one if aimed at fine hair which is great for my hair as quite alot of products tend to weigh my hair down making it look more limp and greasy. With a powdery scent, this dry shampoo is very pleasant to use and also a relatively inexpensive product suited for regular use.

John Frieda Blow Dry lotion.

I tend to use this on special occasions as I find that this product gives me crazy amounts of volume. One thing I have learnt is that a little definitely goes a long way as I over sprayed my hair and it turned out to make my hair really greasy and unmanageable. A few spritz of this prior to blow-drying creates voluminous hair perfect for further hair styling or just to go out with a fuller look. My hair is very fine and my main goal is getting as much volume and texture as I can so this is great for me.

Batiste XXL

I recently discovered this product as it has been a while since I've delved back into the brand as I used to hate their white cast they produced on my hair when I used their dry shampoos. However, I use this product not for taking away that extra shine, but rather to add texture into my hair when it comes to styling like the name suggests. Using this give me the texture I want so I am able to add subtle volume into my hair without having to back-comb which damages the hair. sometimes I straighten my hair and the end result can look a bit too neat and tidy therefore using this helps with making the look more casual and effortless.

Charles Worthington Texturising spray

Like the Batiste XXL, I use this for finishing off my hair styling to add extra volume and texure. This product differs as it has more of a hairspray property to it giving the hair a bit more hold and lift. I have heard this being compared with the Oribe texturising shampoo so this product is the cheaper alternative to that. This product is a must have for me and it goes everywhere with me and always in my travel bags as it is simply a product that I feel changes the way my hair looks.

Tresseme Heat Defence Spray

This product has been my staple in my hair styling routine for several years now since I've discovered it. This is great before blow drying protecting my hair from the heat and I can say that it does make a difference to the look and feel of your hair after. I find that if I don't use this I can really tell the difference and my hair doesn't feel as soft. Bargain for how much product you get and one bottle lasts for a long time. A must have for my hair styling routine as I regularly blow dry my hair and use my straighteners on it.

CHARLOTTE TILBURY LIPS

After lusting over the beautiful Charlotte Tilbury Lip products and having a good detailed browse of the different shades via online swatches, I decided on purchasing the nude toned shades which are easy to wear and great for day to day make-up looks.

I chose a lipliner in Pink venus as opposed to pillow talk as I feel that pillow talk was too similar to my favourite Rimmel lipliner east end snob and I wanted something a little bit different. The Charlotte Tilbury Lipliner is very soft and creamy which requires constant sharpening which I do find a hassle sometimes. It applies nicely and although the consistency is quite buttery when applying, I do find that it is drying which is expected as it is a lipliner after all. This shade is wonderful when you want to add that subtle pop of colour to finish off the look making you look more awake.

For the Matte revolution lipticks, I had a very hard time choosing which shades I wanted as I pretty much wanted all of them. I already own Amazing grace (post here) which was so beautiful and lovely to use, therefore directing me to further my collection by purchasing these two lipsticks. Firstly, Miss Kensington was marketed as limited edition and I found the muted pink nude to be very pretty and a shade that I tend to go for making it a must have. A gorgeous nude shade which compliments my skintone very well and I find that it goes well with most of my makeup looks. Next, I chose to purchase Very Victoria as I have been showing an increased interest in the more mauve/brown shades recently. This shade I found adds sophistication to my makeup looks and I really like how it easy it is to pull off this colour and I have really enjoyed using it.

Looking at the colours side by side while taking these pictures, I do feel that these colours are very similar and I could have done by just picking one out of the two. If Miss Kensington wasn't a limited edition, I think I would have given it a miss as the shade is easily dupe-able but having said that, I absolutely love the formulation and comfortable wear of the Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks along with their unique bullet. Very Victoria is a more different shade compared with what I usually go for which makes me want to go out of my comfort zone more and try out newer looks.

Zoeva Rose Gold face brushes

After lusting over this rose gold brush set by Zoeva for over a year, I am ecstatic to say that I have finally recieved them as a graduation present from my lovely boyfriend. This luxurious set of brushes are definitley worth the wait and I have been using them every day and my other brushes has been neglected and starting to collect dust. I have purchased brushes by Zoeva a while back (reviewed here) and I was impressed by their quality therefore I know that these brushes will not dissapoint.

So this 8 piece brush set by Zoeva brushes not only won me over by the beautifully asthetically pleasing design, but the fact that they came in a gorgeous handy pouch that all the brushes can be housed in and makes it easy for travelling around. I found that the variety of the brushes included are sufficient for everyday use and I didn't need to grab other brushes whilst doing my makeup unless I'm doing heavy makup and smokey eye which of course I would need the help of other brushes too.

The brushes are very sturdy and feels great to use as the bristles are soft and feels comfortable against my skin. They are easy to clean and the white brushes do not stain as easily as other brushes that I own. The pouch is a perfect size for on the go and its leather interior makes it very easy to clean too. I highly recommend this set of brushes as the price is justified by the beautiful 8 brushes that you get. I actually am thinking of getting the eye brush set too but I think I may hold back for a little while.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara Waterproof

After trying out the Benefit Roller lash sample a couple months back, I recall at the end of my blog post here commenting on how a waterproof formulation would make it the perfect mascara for me so this mascara seems to be the one!

Sorry that I didnt take a picture of the actual wand itself but I would say that it resembles the Roller Lash alot so I'm sure if you google it, alot of images would pop up. I actually didn't get a chance to picture it because of how quickly I used it up and also for reasons that I'm going to talk about later in this post.

I always have positive experience with Maybelline mascaras but I found that this really in my favourite one by far compared with the falsies and rocket volum mascara. Firstly, the wand is very unique and I found that it grabbed my tiny lashes amazingly well. Not only is does it lengthen my lashes, but I found that it held my curls alot longer. The formulation is definitley the most waterproof i've ever tried as it was literally impossible to remove even after using an oil based remover which I'm not too sure whether is a pro or a con. After a long day at work, I feel that this mascara is a hassle to take off and even in the morning, I can see residue of this mascara around my eyes. Really a bulletproof product and ideal for people who has a tendency for products smudging on them.

Despite of all the goodness in this mascara, one thing that I was really dissapointed was the packaging and the poor product distribution. I found that once you pull the mascara wand out, too much of the product is on the wand to the extent that you can see blobs of the mascara on the wand so I had to wipe away excess during each use. The mascara soon became very messy after several use with the accumulation of excess product around the mascara opening which contributes to the fact that the mascara dried up and finished very quickly.

All in all, this is a wonderful mascara and I am already thinking of repurchasing it but I feel that the packaging is the only thing I would complain about as its too messy for my liking and definitley wouldn't look nice in my makeup bag. Great for girls out there with stubborn straight lashes that refuse to hold their curl throughout the day!
