MY ONGOING REPURCHASES - HAIR
Being a girl with long hair for most of her life, haircare and hair styling has been an important aspect of day to day life. Over the years I have found a bunch of inexpensive products which works best for me and so in this post, I have chosen 5 products that is constantly a part of my routine and I keep repurchasing them continuously especially when Boots does their 3 for 2 offers which is always a perfect opportunity to restock the stash which I'm sure most of you can agree with.
Tresseme Dry Shampoo
The main reason why I love this dry shampoo as opposed to the other brands i've tried is that this comes out clear so that horrible grey cast on the hair is avoided. This particular one if aimed at fine hair which is great for my hair as quite alot of products tend to weigh my hair down making it look more limp and greasy. With a powdery scent, this dry shampoo is very pleasant to use and also a relatively inexpensive product suited for regular use.
John Frieda Blow Dry lotion.
I tend to use this on special occasions as I find that this product gives me crazy amounts of volume. One thing I have learnt is that a little definitely goes a long way as I over sprayed my hair and it turned out to make my hair really greasy and unmanageable. A few spritz of this prior to blow-drying creates voluminous hair perfect for further hair styling or just to go out with a fuller look. My hair is very fine and my main goal is getting as much volume and texture as I can so this is great for me.
Batiste XXL
I recently discovered this product as it has been a while since I've delved back into the brand as I used to hate their white cast they produced on my hair when I used their dry shampoos. However, I use this product not for taking away that extra shine, but rather to add texture into my hair when it comes to styling like the name suggests. Using this give me the texture I want so I am able to add subtle volume into my hair without having to back-comb which damages the hair. sometimes I straighten my hair and the end result can look a bit too neat and tidy therefore using this helps with making the look more casual and effortless.
Charles Worthington Texturising spray
Like the Batiste XXL, I use this for finishing off my hair styling to add extra volume and texure. This product differs as it has more of a hairspray property to it giving the hair a bit more hold and lift. I have heard this being compared with the Oribe texturising shampoo so this product is the cheaper alternative to that. This product is a must have for me and it goes everywhere with me and always in my travel bags as it is simply a product that I feel changes the way my hair looks.
Tresseme Heat Defence Spray
This product has been my staple in my hair styling routine for several years now since I've discovered it. This is great before blow drying protecting my hair from the heat and I can say that it does make a difference to the look and feel of your hair after. I find that if I don't use this I can really tell the difference and my hair doesn't feel as soft. Bargain for how much product you get and one bottle lasts for a long time. A must have for my hair styling routine as I regularly blow dry my hair and use my straighteners on it.

TRESemme Liquid Gold || REVIEW
Due to over processing my hair, it is in quite a bad condition right now and i feel that it constantly needs a bit of TLC to give it the life that it should have. My hair is really fine and tends to get greasy easily so it is washed on a daily basis eventhough i am aware that it is not great to do so. My hair type and regime means that i have a high chance of product build up and also a tendency of having heavy greasy limp lifeless hair if i am not careful with which products i use.
I have used a couple of hair oils in the past, The VO5 Miracle concentrate and the L'oreal extraordinary oil, but i feel that i need to try out a new one just because i'm determined to find the perfect one and also because i am a cosmetics junkie and up for trying everything! So firstly, this hair oil smells so lovely and fresh which makes me enjoy using it on a regular basis. This product is lightweight on the hair if used in moderation. I tend to use just one pump and apply it evenly on the ends of my damp hair before proceeding with blow-drying my hair. After using this product, my hair definitely feels much more softer and smoother at the ends, aswell as making my split ends less noticeable. When i do not apply this hair treatment, i find that my hair doesn't feel as nice and as if it isn't nourished. I do recommend this product highly because of it's easy packaging compared with the VO5 one which is a bit of a hassle to use. It works amazingly well for it's price and i am really impressed with Tresemme

NOVEMBER || HAUL
Since returning from my holiday back in September and beginning my postgraduate course, i have been very firm with my spendings and tried to focus on finishing some of the products that i already have. However, recently boots not only had a 3 for 2 offer, but now it is buy 1 get 1 half price on cosmetics so it was pretty hard to resist a few cheeky purchases. Toni and Guy products were 3 for £12 which was such a bargain and i never tried their products before so i took this opportunity to give it a go. Apart from the essential toiletries, i also bought the gorgeous Shu Uemura eyelash curlers from the Karl Lagerfield collection which features a sexy red pad as opposed to the boring standard black. So i am now just going to list the items that i bought below and the Revlon lip butter in Peach parfait which my thoughtful boyfriend went and got for me because he checked my wishlist on here. He proper shocked and surprised me with it because i wasn't expecting it at all~! Ohh, and i will be reviewing some of these products very soon so i will keep you guys updated.

~ How I Get Volume in My Fine Hair ~
Usually on normal days, i don't really care about my hair being a bit flat and limp. However, on special occasions or when i am on a night out i prefer to sport a more voluminous hair-do. I do believe that i spend alot of time and effort to achieve such effect because not only do i have really fine hair, i also have very little of it and it is very hard to get the look i want. I have found that excessive backcombing and hairspray does help, but the effect is not as long lasting as i want and sometimes it cane leave it looking like a bit of a greasy mess to be honest.
After experimenting with numerous hair products, filtering out the ones that weighed my hair down or simply does not work at all, i have found the ultimate duo that works best to allow me to achieve a more textured voluminous look to my hair. At first i didn't think much of the Tresemme volumising mousse when i bought it because at a reasonable pricing and not a product that has been raved about much. The LUSH big shampoo however, i have heard alot about from magasines and bloggers so i kind of had the idea that it worked when i purchased it.
So for starters, lets talk about the LUSH big shampoo, it has a salt/gel consistency which is very strange given the fact that it's not the same as your conventional shampoos that feel much more on the creamier side. It smells lovely and refreshing which is very good as i prefer my products to smell good rather than scentless. I use one generous scoop and i use water to lather it up before applying onto my scalp. I emphasise on the roots of my hair rather than all my hair because i know that this is quite drying and can't be good for the hair. Results can be seen when the hair is dried and it instantly feels more texturised and i love it as i have always had very fine hair which looks limp and lifeless all the time. I finally have textured and much more thicker looking hair.
The Mousse really makes the effect more noticeable and i use this in conjunction with the big shampoo when i have a special occasion to go to and i want the best of my hair, or i use it when i just use a normal shampoo to achieve a good blow-dry that provides some lift and volume. Either way, this mousse is simple to use, just apply onto damp hair and after drying your hair, you can feel your hair more thicker and voluminous.
I really recommend these two products for those girls out there with very fine and limp hair because i can honestly say that these really helped me with styling my hair and adding more life into my hair. However, i really dont advise you to use these everyday because i do feel that they have a tendency to strip your hair of natural oils and can be quite drying for your hair therefore try to limit these products to certain days when needed, especially when using the LUSH big shampoo.
What is your holy grail hair product?
