MY ONGOING REPURCHASES - HAIR
Being a girl with long hair for most of her life, haircare and hair styling has been an important aspect of day to day life. Over the years I have found a bunch of inexpensive products which works best for me and so in this post, I have chosen 5 products that is constantly a part of my routine and I keep repurchasing them continuously especially when Boots does their 3 for 2 offers which is always a perfect opportunity to restock the stash which I'm sure most of you can agree with.
Tresseme Dry Shampoo
The main reason why I love this dry shampoo as opposed to the other brands i've tried is that this comes out clear so that horrible grey cast on the hair is avoided. This particular one if aimed at fine hair which is great for my hair as quite alot of products tend to weigh my hair down making it look more limp and greasy. With a powdery scent, this dry shampoo is very pleasant to use and also a relatively inexpensive product suited for regular use.
John Frieda Blow Dry lotion.
I tend to use this on special occasions as I find that this product gives me crazy amounts of volume. One thing I have learnt is that a little definitely goes a long way as I over sprayed my hair and it turned out to make my hair really greasy and unmanageable. A few spritz of this prior to blow-drying creates voluminous hair perfect for further hair styling or just to go out with a fuller look. My hair is very fine and my main goal is getting as much volume and texture as I can so this is great for me.
Batiste XXL
I recently discovered this product as it has been a while since I've delved back into the brand as I used to hate their white cast they produced on my hair when I used their dry shampoos. However, I use this product not for taking away that extra shine, but rather to add texture into my hair when it comes to styling like the name suggests. Using this give me the texture I want so I am able to add subtle volume into my hair without having to back-comb which damages the hair. sometimes I straighten my hair and the end result can look a bit too neat and tidy therefore using this helps with making the look more casual and effortless.
Charles Worthington Texturising spray
Like the Batiste XXL, I use this for finishing off my hair styling to add extra volume and texure. This product differs as it has more of a hairspray property to it giving the hair a bit more hold and lift. I have heard this being compared with the Oribe texturising shampoo so this product is the cheaper alternative to that. This product is a must have for me and it goes everywhere with me and always in my travel bags as it is simply a product that I feel changes the way my hair looks.
Tresseme Heat Defence Spray
This product has been my staple in my hair styling routine for several years now since I've discovered it. This is great before blow drying protecting my hair from the heat and I can say that it does make a difference to the look and feel of your hair after. I find that if I don't use this I can really tell the difference and my hair doesn't feel as soft. Bargain for how much product you get and one bottle lasts for a long time. A must have for my hair styling routine as I regularly blow dry my hair and use my straighteners on it.

L'OREAL MOUSSE ABSOLUE || DARKER HAIR COLOUR
So I thought it was getting a bit colder and it is definitley time for a change in hair colour for me. I opted for a slightly darker colour as my hair was getting a bit too light for my fancy after the summer months. I usually use the Clairol Foam hair dye (reviewed here) but this time I saw this new one on the shelf and I thought that I would give it a go.
L'OREAL MOUSSE ABSOLUE - 300 natural darkest brunette
So this box contains the standard pair of gloves x2 , Foam canisters x2 with a nozzel , a set of instructions and a tube of conditioner for aftercare. Looked pretty cool and I liked the premixed idea as you do not need to faff around mixing the liquids together and changing lids. So the concept of this hair dye, is that it allows for multiple uses depending on the length and volume of your hair. It was no suprise that this only allowed me for one use seeing that my hair is quite long.
The foam itself is alot more rich and foamy which I find was easier to lather up and apply to the hair compared with my clairol one. The scent of this was just as strong though so I had to have my bathroom windows wide open. The colour came out exactly like how I wanted which deserved a big thumbs up.
However, After using this hair dye I instantly found my hair to be extremely knotty and just felt really damaged and straw-like. I have used the conditioner provided as indicated by the instructions and even upon using it weekly and finishing the tube, my hair was still in a damaged state and continuously tangly and knotts everywhere. I am very dissapointed with this product as I found it to be very damaging compared with my previous hairdyes i have tried. I usually love L'oreal products, but this one is a no no and I really regret buying this and should have stuck with the Clairol option.

REVIEW || JOHN FRIEDA FULL-REPAIR
John Frieda Hydrate and Rescue Shampoo*
John Freida Hydrate and Rescure Conditioner*
John Frieda Repairing oil elixir*
My hair is very long therefore it is quite difficult to keep it in a relatively good condition. It is inevitable that i have numerous split ends and it does bother me when i do not have enough time to constantly use hair masques and treatments on it. I am a student nurse so it is difficult to spend time deep conditioning my locks maintaining its condition and preventing split-ends, therefore when i was contacted to ask whether i will be interested in trying out some products, i was delighted to give it a try. When i saw this hydrate and rescue duo, i was so delighted because my hair was in a very dry and damaged state through using so many hair products and sea-salt sprays during the summer.
The shampoo and conditioner was very rich and luxurious to touch. It smelt amazing and it lathered up very well giving my hair a nice good clean but hydrating my hair at the same time. Usually i tend to avoid 'repair' or 'hydrating' shampoos because they tend to be too heavy for my fine hair, but i am delighted to say that these hair products left my hair feeling fresh and clean without weighing it down. It definitely left my hair feeling very soft to touch. I have been using these for just over a week now and i have seen improvements in the look and feel of my hair. In combination with the normal haircare products, i use the repairing oil elixir on the ends of my hair before blowdrying which is nothing new to me as it is a standard part of my hair care routine. The oil is very light to touch and it absorbed into my damp hair very well without the ends of my hair clumping together like some hair oils tend to do. A little bit goes a long way and i love the fact that it smells great and doesn't make my hair greasy at all.
I do like John Freida products in general and i have also been a big fan of their voluminous shampoo and conditioner which i use on special occasions when i want that extra something for my hair. So this if somebody asked me how to treat my dry hair? i would highly recommend this range because it is worth every penny and i would definitely continue to adore John Freida hair products. Furthermore, if you are interested in recieving expert hair styling tips advice, you can check out videos from their youtube channel here.

TRESemme Liquid Gold || REVIEW
Due to over processing my hair, it is in quite a bad condition right now and i feel that it constantly needs a bit of TLC to give it the life that it should have. My hair is really fine and tends to get greasy easily so it is washed on a daily basis eventhough i am aware that it is not great to do so. My hair type and regime means that i have a high chance of product build up and also a tendency of having heavy greasy limp lifeless hair if i am not careful with which products i use.
I have used a couple of hair oils in the past, The VO5 Miracle concentrate and the L'oreal extraordinary oil, but i feel that i need to try out a new one just because i'm determined to find the perfect one and also because i am a cosmetics junkie and up for trying everything! So firstly, this hair oil smells so lovely and fresh which makes me enjoy using it on a regular basis. This product is lightweight on the hair if used in moderation. I tend to use just one pump and apply it evenly on the ends of my damp hair before proceeding with blow-drying my hair. After using this product, my hair definitely feels much more softer and smoother at the ends, aswell as making my split ends less noticeable. When i do not apply this hair treatment, i find that my hair doesn't feel as nice and as if it isn't nourished. I do recommend this product highly because of it's easy packaging compared with the VO5 one which is a bit of a hassle to use. It works amazingly well for it's price and i am really impressed with Tresemme

L'Oréal ELVIVE: Extraordinary OIL || REVIEW
I didn't necessarily need another hair oil as I have recently purchased the tresemme liquid gold, but I couldn't resist a tempting offer once again. This L'oreal extraordinary hair oil was 1/3 off the original price which made it only 6 pounds something which was a bargain considering how much product you get. I expected the bottle to be plastic, but it was glass which wasn't the most ideal as I do alot of travelling and it wouldn't stand a chance along with all my other products I pack because I'm scared it would smash and cause a mess. Apart from the glass packaging that i dislike, I quite like the colours of the bottle as I haven't seen a hair product in a orangey red colour which made it very easily distinguishable.
I have been using this for nearly 2 weeks now and I believe that I have tired it enough to give a reliable and honest review. The product smells lovely and clean so it was enjoyable to apply onto my hair every morning after shower! However, the consistency of the oil was very liquidy and I feel that I have to use more product to get the benefits that I wanted compared the much thicker hair oils that I have tried like the tresemme and vo5 one.
I usually apply on only the ends of my hair as i find that they are the driest and my hair goes greasy pretty quickly so none is added to the top of my hair! I can honestly tell you that the price drop was definitely for a good reason.....the hair oil does absolutely nothing to my hair. I thought initially that it gave long term results rather than instant as I do not feel that the product improved the condition of my hair in any way, nor did it make my hair feel softer.
The oil just made my hair feel clumpy at the ends when I dry my hair after and even using a smaller amount, it still did the same thing. I can even say that this product made the ends of my hair more knotty compared with not using it and I cannot understand why this product is such a fail because I love some of the L'oreal hair products like their shampoos and conditioners.
